HCR1400-ED is the first of FRD’s latest generation of surface tophammer hydraulic crawler drills. The main new features of this machine are the new Tier4i (Stage 3B) engines, increased drifter impact power and increased flushing capacity. In addition to this, several other improvements have been implemented, much of which focus on increased operator comfort, ease of maintenance and reduced operating cost. It succeeds HCR1200-EDII for European countries. All machines in the FRD range come standard with a proven advanced hydraulic control of drilling parameters, dual dampening drifter and engine power delivery control that all combine to deliver more productivity, reduced downtime and reduced operating cost.
